Who’d have thought for sure. Just finished a hysterically funny book on money and politics, Mr. Texas. I’ll write a review in near future, but it sure raised my enthusiasm this year.
You know Geoff, if I think back enough, I can remember back when you were the first person I knew during an election year that was campaigning for Pat Paulson for president. So that had to have been 1968. You had made something tangible, like a small picket sign or something, that meant you were serious! Are you still backing this man this year?
1. Rejoice that whichever evil of the two lessers running for president cannot run again.
2. Spend more time with dogs, cats, donkeys, horses or whatever of God’s creatures you relate to, especially those wonderful senior critters who are so special.
Came across this in my feed. My, how things have changed. Trump gets shot. New players in the game. Who’d have thought???

Looking forward to your review.

Too funny. I have no memory of that. Maybe it was the alliteration that drew me in.

4. Pray that God will guide our leaders despite whoever may end up at the top of the pile.
5. Forgive a debt for someone who is struggling.
6. Volunteer in an area of need
7. Write in “None of the Above” on the ballot.
8. Smile at everyone you see and count the return smiles.
9. Send birthday cards
10. Go fishing without bait
11. Dare to be silly
12. Appreciate the humor of Geoff Mantooth 😁
Perfect. Absolutely perfect (1-11 anyway).
Great ideas. 11 is classic GM humor. ;-) Better idea for 13 - turn off the news until November.
I like it, turning off the news.
Thrilled for the mention! As always, stellar work, and a great read!
Can’t wait for your book!
