Very creative! I have not been able to come up with one I don't want to see as much as I don't want to see the ones you came up with. Although I think I would enjoy MUMs better than all the rest!

Agree, math books focus on solving problems, not teaching broader concepts. Thanks for subscribing and commenting.

I don't know. I kinda think the algebra book would have been ok. Maybe a short note at the beginning about training your mind to think abstractly to encourage us. I was curious, and did look at my old calculus book the other day to figure out for the first time in my life how the Reimann sum turns into the integral, otherwise known as The Fundamental Theorem of the Calculus. But guess what? The book said this proof was reserved for a course in advanced calculus. I should have known. At the time, we were never given enough time to really absorb the stuff, but read just enough to learn how to do the problems, and it will get more intuitive on its own. But this rule didn't apply to the rest of my EE curriculum. You could spend an hour on a textbook page. I did come to the conclusion that some high school math, (e.g., using imaginary numbers (i = sqrt(-1)) and trig) were meant for that EE going into communications. I am grateful for that. And much more.
